Our metalworking fluids enable sophisticated metal machining processes for the world’s largest automotive, aerospace and industrial manufacturing companies. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the Södermanland, Västmanland, Närke, Gästrikland & Dalarna region.

As the sales leader for the territory, you'll focus on creating new profitable business opportunities through an effective direct sales strategy that enables us to exceed customer expectations and drive results.

What will you do?

  • Prospect, develop and nurture sales in the assigned region to achieve company sales and gross margin targets for the metalworking market.
  • Create strong relationships with key customer contacts across all levels, both existing and prospective.
  • Prepare and create customer presentations, proposals, commercial offers and value selling plans that demonstrate the benefits and value Quaker Houghton can offer.
  • Deliver sound technical advice to the customer, working closely with our Product Application team to implement and offer new solutions.
  • Collaborate with the QH Fluid Intelligence Solutions team regarding our range of equipment sales.
  • Coordinate as well with the Customer Service and Technical Service teams to make sure we meet overall customer expectations.
  • Regularly report to management to analyze sales targets, budgets and forecast. Mainly using CRM, excel and other IT Tools available.
  • Attend and participate in conferences and industry trade shows.
  • Monitor the competitors' activities, industry trends & regional regulations to give feedback to management that is useful for innovation and market development.
  • Respect and maintain all safety and environmental policies.
  • Travel approximately 75% within the assigned region.

 

What do we look for?

  • The ideal candidate will have from 3 to 5 years technical sales experience in the industrial sector. Ideally in contact with the metalworking process, industrial lubricants and/or the automotive and related sectors.
  • Education in engineering (mechanical, chemical, industrial or similar) is highly valued.
  • A highly dynamic professional with excellent communication and presentation skills to be able to generate trust and create strong relationships with new prospective clients.
  • Languages: Swedish bilingual level and English: professional level written & spoken are a must.
  • High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, CRM and the ability to learn internal business systems)
  • Homeoffice based in Södermanland, Västmanland, Närke, Gästrikland & Dalarna region.
