This is a very dynamic Environmental, Health & Safety role , you will support our Poland head office and R&D teams as well as our field-based technicians located at our 9+ customer sites within the region to continue to keep safety at the core of our culture and take it to the next level. What will you do?

  • You will ensure sustainability and drive for continuous improvement at the Quaker Houghton Poland office and customer sites where our field-technicians operate, these sites are industrial manufacturing plants.
  • Engage with the colleagues at our Krakow location as well as with the field-based technicians located at our customer sites to promote and elevate our EHS standards.
  • Work closely with the EHS Director, Fluidcare management team and other relevant local business leaders, external firms and contractors when necessary to ensure full engagement.
  • Provide EHS knowledge, guidance, coaching and training to establish a positive progressive EHS culture in all fields relevant such as dangerous good management, fire protection, waste management and others. Act as a key resource for all EHS training.
  • Investigate Incidents, near misses, hazard identifications and ensure appropriate root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Perform the duties of a safety advisor in the transport of dangerous goods (DGSA advisor).
  • Supervision and maintenance of the Integrated management system based on ISO/PN standards.
  • Perform or coordinate internal and external audits, tests & inspections to ensure EHSQ and ISO/PN standards and regulations are met.
  • Support and implement corporate EHS programs and systems.
  • Attend training, seminars, webinars where required to assist in maintaining an up-to-date professional knowledge in all areas of EHS legislation, standards, guidelines and codes of practice and ensure that any changes are reflected in the Company’s systems.
  • Participate actively in global EHS process improvement projects.
  • Travelling within the assigned territory up to 50%.

 

What do we look for?

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the Environmental, Health and Safety discipline , ideally within an industrial environment. Any additional training needed will be offered upon onboarding.
  • Education : EHS Certificate, DGSA adviser, Certificate of Fire Protection Inspector are highly valued. PN / ISO 9001/14001, PN / OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001) internal auditor knowledge is preferred.
  • Language: Polish and English professional level; written and spoken.
  • Location: Remote working role within the southern Polish region. Location is flexible, ideally based in Cracow, Wroclaw, Czestochowa or Tarnow.
  • Driving license is a must.
