As the EMEA Product Application Manager for rolling lubricants you are the lead in the region playing a key role in our goal of exceeding customer expectations. You will be an expert in understanding their production process and translating their needs into innovative product solutions in coordination with the R&D, sales and marketing team.

What will you do? 

  • Responsible for the EMEA region in product application support for the rolling lubricant business mainly focused on steel and aluminum sectors.
  • Communicate directly with the sales team for alignment with the account strategy to achieve maximum business potential.
  • Manage the process of product development between customer and our laboratory team.
  • Manage internal and external contacts through customer production process including needs identification, translating the objective to the research and development team, application, performance, cost parameters and servicing in accordance with marketing and sales objectives.
  • Provide commercial and applications support to the frontline sales teams, direct and indirect customers in the region including: product training, product recommendation, problem solving and trial support.
  • Select appropriate products in accordance with business needs and product line strategy and propose product modifications that are aimed to maintain our leadership position in the market and exceed customer expectations.
  • Prepare and create customer presentations and trainings that demonstrate the benefits and value Quaker Houghton can offer.
  • Monitor the competitors' activities, industry trends & regional regulations to gather information that is useful for innovation and market development.
  • Attend and participate in conferences and industry trade shows.
  • Travelling 50% in the EMEA region. 


What do we look for?

  • Education: Bachelor or masters – ideally in Chemistry or Chemical related subject.
  • Experience: 5+ years of industrial experience in a similar role – ideally within the steel rolling or metalworking/lubricants environment. Experience in a multinational company is a highly valued. Proven process improvement background is a must. Strong knowledge and high computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, CRM and the ability to learn internal business systems).
  • Languages: English language skills; written and spoken. Any additional european language is highly valued.

  • Location: Remote or hybrid, based in the EMEA region. Near a well connected airport to reduce travel time.
