What will you do?
  • Lead system wide architecture design and development activities by preparing system engineering management, system integration, and/or test plans.
  • Develop system requirement specifications based on user requirements and high-level system architecture.
  • Serve as project leader on various sized projects involving cross functional teams.
  • Implement and operate the global patching environment of the IT landscape to provide modern and reliable content delivery and installation on a global scale.
  • Push the state of the art of remediation-automation through continuous improvement methods toward the purpose of driving down the firm's technology vulnerabilities and meeting/exceeding stated SLAs.
  • Drive IT operations to leverage standard IT processes to deliver solutions and services.
  • Design, plan and implement software and firmware upgrades across multiple global datacenters.
  • Design and architect backup strategy across global datacenters. Perform and schedule tests to assist in DR efforts.
  • Designs. installs, tunes, upgrades, and maintains all computer systems relevant to the supported applications including all necessary tasks to perform server operating system administration, hypervisor management, shared storage management, database management, user account management, disaster recovery strategy, networking configuration, Exchange, and Terminal Services.
  • Monitor and correct critical server issues and create recovery processes for failures and performance bottlenecks. Use native, add on tools, and third-party tools to troubleshoot malfunctions, optimizations.
  • Serve as a key member of a cross-functional project team consisting of product managers, test/quality engineers, development engineers, manufacturing, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead Systems Engineering activities and deliverables, including driving architecture and requirements for sophisticated systems.
  • Ensure technical documentation exists for all systems and is kept up to date to include inventory and patch levels of all systems to include hostnames, property numbers, IP addresses, enclave, number of cores, number of processors, admin passwords, certificates, and service accounts on a monthly interval.
  • Evaluates new systems by performing in-depth tests, including end-user reviews. Research software and related products to support recommendations and purchasing. Determines systems integration issues by evaluating components; developing and completing performance tests; analyzing test data; studying project requirements; analyzing user and potential user input; evaluating similar and related products and systems. Develop system automation and system integration of business processes.
  • Analyze global data center system malfunctions and problems and initiate corrective measures. Communicate information and corrective measures on global issues so that it can be recorded to determine trends and to provide improvements to quality service to the organization. Maintain and report on these metrics in a timely manner.
  • Exercise strong Communication and Leadership skills to collaborate with worldwide teams, including external partners.
  • Manage and respond to escalated inquiries. Keep all tickets and projects updated.
 
What do we look for?
 
Experience: the ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of total experience with CISCO networking, ideally within global enterprises. We are looking for an expert to implement and administer network solutions that ensure the most sustainable, flexible and cost appropriate systems & technology platforms. To ensure success, you should have extensive experience with network installations, good communication skills, and experience with end-user training.
 
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
 
Languages: English spoken and written at a bilingual level is a must. Other European languages will be highly valued.
 
 
Technical skills:
  • Must have experience working in an enterprise Datacenter environments and Global Infrastructures.
  • Expert level of O365. Architect design posture for Office 365 (O365). Tenant admin, participate in Audit.
  • Expert level of virtual technologies (hypervisors). As well as knowledge of storage area networks (SAN’s).
  • Knowledge of data center design, architecture, security principles, computing infrastructure, networking protocols, such as TCP, IP, and OSI models.
  • Knowledge of datacenter technologies (power, cooling, rack layouts, design, etc.).
  • Previous knowledge integrating and migrating (acquired) organizations to Office 365 platform is valued.
  • Experience in the use of PowerShell is valued.
 
 
Location: Based in the Netherlands territory. Remote working role or hybrid possibility if in the Uithoorn area (our EMEA HQ).
