Fluidcare Support Technician

The Fluidcare Area Technician role is primarily responsible for supporting Fluidcare sites for holidays and sickness cover. When the Technician is not covering sites then this time will be equally divided to assist site Fluidcare teams in normal daily operational activities.

Regional cover for UK South will be a key aspect of the role when required by the business, which may include staying away from home if outside of the travel radius of the candidates’
home location.


  • To provide holiday & sickness cover for their local Fluidcare Sites.
  • When not covering site holidays & sickness, the area technician must attend the agreed Fluidcare Sites, assisting the Fluidcare team in daily operational activities as per the contracted SCOW.
  • Manage the daily use of fluids on the shop floor efficiently and safely. Maintaining appropriate records using QuakerHoughton data logging systems.
  • Carry out analysis and corrective actions on water-based fluids and apply fluid additions to maintain machine performance.
  • Perform coolant & oil cleanout operations on industrial machinery.
  • Moving of fluids and equipment around the industrial site(s) and offloading/loading of vehicles, using folk lift trucks or similar if required.
  • Liaise with customer shop floor personnel to provide necessary support including site maintenance.
  • Identify site requirements, provide solutions and where possible and suggest ways of continuously improving the services provided to the customer by QuakerHoughton
  • Attend customer site meetings when required and feedback on any issues or concerns.
  • Adhere to all Quaker Houghton Policies and procedures in a professional and courtier manner.

  • Electric counterbalance Fork truck certification is an advantage.
  • Flexible to job requirements.

  • Full UK Driving License.
