IT Site Lead, Japan

As IT Site Lead, Japan you will be responsible for providing reliable and efficient regional DIT support across Japan, ensuring DIT services meet performance, availability, and support targets. You will collaborate with global and regional IT teams and external service providers to support solutions aligned with DIT’s strategic objectives. You will also oversee local IT infrastructure security, patch management, and compliance while acting as the local contact for IT-related projects and regional solutions.

 

What will you do ?

  • Lead second-line support services for APAC, resolving incidents escalated from the Service Desk.
  • Oversee the timely resolution of local helpdesk tickets and ensure SLA adherence.
  • Administer user account management through Active Directory, including adds, changes, deletions, and group management.
  • Supervise imaging, configuration, and deployment of laptops/desktops.
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration across Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, BTS, and other DIT teams.
  • Partner with vendors and regional business stakeholders to meet service expectations.
  • Support the execution of global DIT initiatives within the region.
  • Develop and maintain regional SOPs and IT support best practices.
  • Drive compliance with global IT governance and support continuous service improvement.
  • Manage regional-specific IT applications (e.g., localized ERP tools) in coordination with BTS.
  • Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and global service providers for tool enhancements and issue resolution.
  • Maintain and monitor local network and communication infrastructure, including VoIP, conferencing, wireless, and remote access.
  • Support file servers, backup routines, and regional data center assets.
  • Ensure compliant return and disposal of IT equipment containing data.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of local infrastructure configurations and asset database records.

 

 

What are we looking for ?

  • 5+ years of progressive IT hands-on desktop, server and support experience.
  • Demonstrated vendor and contract management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills

Language skills: Fluent in Japanese and English language

Soft skills: Strong safety-conscious, safety is at the core of our culture. Autonomous, hands-on & with good communication skills. Good practical problem solving with acute attention to detail. Strong team player, passionate about delivering success.
