Procurement Manager

Execute strategies and approaches to achieve goals set out by local, regional and global management

Delivering/driving results in area of responsibility by working with and through the Supply Chain group and plants.

Ensures a proper coordination with Thai manufacturing team to support on time RM delivery to production

Supports MRP implementation as team member as well as fosters a continuous improvement and process oriented mentality

Actively manage all aspects of procurement for materials under assigned unit.

Take ownership and actively manage the specifications, supplier base and contracts for assigned categories

Provide guidelines/requirement to Supply Chain/ plants for tracking vendor performance for the Thai operations

Own key supplier relationships and monitors global implementation of accounts (Develop Strategic Account Plans (being operational, should he/she hold strategic responsibilities? I would remove it) & hold Quarterly Management meetings).

Provide (monthly) country data – current/forecasted prices per product families - to central global group to support the global RM data initiative

Work closely with Business Unit leadership and Procurement Directors to set objectives for categories and agree on how value will be measured and delivered..  

Develop market intelligence (margin impacts, what if) on key suppliers/materials worldwide, as well as own key supplier relationships based on assigned categories and monitor global adoption of key strategies and suppliers.

Prioritize and schedule all strategic sourcing initiatives for the year; coordinate efforts with  Supply chain group and actively participate in sourcing process

Participate in the regional Monthly Procurement review, representing Thailand

Support and provide leadership on resolving sourcing operational issues to ensure on time delivery, being also an active team member of the localization team (when applies)

Provide direction for regional deployment of procurement strategy in Thailand

Initiate interaction with Marketing / R&D for upstream interaction on procurement of new products and investigate on further simplification opportunities of tier 2 materials

Ensure national/global contracts are followed for assigned direct materials (specialties or commodities)
