The Plant Manager will oversee our two blending sites based in the Barcelona metropolitan area, a team of 50 people delivering 40000 tons annually to local and international markets. A key role in a team effort to ensure the optimal performance of the sites, always aiming to exceed customer expectations and continuously improve the operational process.

What will you do?  

  • Ensure optimal performance of the Barberà del Vallès and Santa Perpetua de Mogoda sites that mainly serve the automotive & metals sector. Oversees the complete cycle of order fulfillment from order receipt to product delivery while contributing to the continuous improvement of the operational process.  
  • Lead a team of 50 people, the production, maintenance, warehouse, shipping, supply chain and lab areas aiming to achieve their motivation, development and wellbeing.  
  • Managing optimal use of means of operations to effect that orders are realized on time, at minimal expense and safely, meeting quantitative and qualitative requirements.  
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety, Health, Environment and Quality regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensures compliance to SOX, ISO 9001 and ISO14001 approval and proper execution of internal and external audits.
  • Work closely and aligned with the main stakeholders in the Commercial, HR, IT, Finance, EHS, Quality and R&D.
  • Creates annual budget and KPI’s for each of the mission statements and regularly update the involved stakeholders.
  • As part the EMEA Operations team, you will proactively work towards the region’s improvement of effectiveness and customer service.  


What do we look for? 

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years as Plant Manager or a similar role where operations and team management is key to success, ideally within a chemical environment. Any additional training needed will be offered upon onboarding.  
  • Language:  Spanish and English professional level is required. 
  • Location: Barcelona metropolitan area.
