We are currently recruiting for a Strategic Account Manager based in Germany to support our strategic initiatives, the strategic account manager is responsible and accountable for the Contributory Margin (CM) within the account. In effect, the SAM owns the strategy and those issues that affect the CM within their accounts.
What will you do?
Develop and implement a growth Strategic account plan for identified and targeted Key Accounts.
Optimize key account activities, develop strategies, communicate across the organization and coordinate execution (KA and segment)
To maximize aggregate CM performance; improve overall customer profitability
Be proactive and be a source of proposal for potential future strategic business developments
Facilitate business efficiencies – making Quaker Houghton easier to do business with for our Strategic Accounts
Identify and promote new products and cost reduction programs to aid customer processes.
To coordinate activities with the relevant segment manager in CSO organization
Extensive travel (75%+) – Customer sites and company offices/laboratories for required meetings.

What do we look for?
Degree or recognized qualification in Chemistry, Engineering, Sales or any business related area
10+ years of industrial experience – ideally within the metalworking/lubricants environment
Proven international key account management experience.
Comfortable with matrix organization, ability to interact with regions & functions
Excellent training and presentation skills
Fluent German and English language skills; written and spoken.
