About the Role

 

As an Account Manager, you will manage our full product portfolio and serve as the primary contact for key accounts in the South-West region of Germany. You will focus on business development, driving cross-selling opportunities, and enhancing customer satisfaction—because our customers’ success is our success.

What will you do?

  • Drive business growth with key accounts in the assigned region to achieve sales and gross margin targets
  • Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with commercial and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, both existing and prospective, to enhance satisfaction and expand cross-selling opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations, proposals, commercial offers, and value-based selling plans that clearly demonstrate Quaker Houghton’s value proposition
  • Provide technical guidance to customers, working closely with the Product Application team to implement and introduce new solutions
  • Collaborate with Key Account Management to align on account strategies and maximize business potential
  • Work closely with Customer Service and Technical Service teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, budgets, and forecasts using CRM, Excel, and other tools
  • Represent the company at conferences and industry trade shows
  • Track competitor activity, industry trends, and regional regulations, and share insights to support innovation and market development

 

What are we looking for?

  • Around 3 years of proven experience in sales within the industrial fluids or metalworking industry (e.g., lubricants, greases, coolants, forging, die casting, or similar products)
  • Experience in technical sales, with a strong interest in building a long-term career in the sector
  • A degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Professional proficiency in German and English
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with stakeholders

 

This is a field-based role covering the South-West region of Germany.
