SIFCO Applied Surface Concepts (ASC) has been providing selective electroplating and anodizing services, chemical solutions and equipment for over 50 years. Recognized as the global leader, we help our customers meet their selective plating requirements.

This is a hybrid role with responsibilities of chemical operator and facilities maintenance.

1st shift (Monday-Friday)

Job Summary:

  • Measure raw materials/chemicals by volume and/or weight using devices such as scales, graduated cylinders, and volumetric flasks.
  • Load raw materials/chemicals, and deionized water into mixing vessels.
  • Affix and adjust mixers and heating elements to mixing vessels to assure proper manufacturing parameters are met.
  • Operate fill stations to bottle per work order requirements.
  • Label and package bottles and other containers into appropriate cartons.
  • Document production process following established procedures and work instructions to assure consistent finished solutions.
  • Operate forklift and pallet jack in moving, loading, and unloading supplies, and equipment within facility.
  • Routine maintenance & troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Preventative/predictive maintenance of facility equipment.
  • Assist plant production operations when a need arises.
  • Maintain the building exterior, interior, and grounds.
  • Assist with the coordination of outside maintenance services and contractors and oversee any contractors working on site.
  • Order and stock parts and tools for repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and usable maintenance work area always.
  • Responsible for adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and training.

What do we look for?

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience required.
  • Ability to pass a Respirator Fit Test and Pulmonary Function Test to utilize a Respirator while working

Preferred Experience

  • 3 - 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment and facility mechanical maintenance position
  • 1 - 2 years of experience working in a chemical mixing environment
  • 1 - 2 years of experience working safely in or around hazardous material

Work Enviorment and Physical Requirements

  • Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals, frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather).
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency requirements, the expected salary for this position is $26-30 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
