Position Summary
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for developing, leading, and implementing solutions to support various inbound and outbound supply chain initiatives. This role drives continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies, analyzing trends, and recommending solutions to enhance logistics efficiency and overall supply chain operations. The Logistics Specialist will manage regional supply chain improvement projects, establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), develop training documentation, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success across various logistics functions. Additionally, the role requires collaborating with third-party vendors (carriers), maintaining performance data, and comparing vendor KPIs against internal metrics to ensure continuous operational improvement. The Logistics Specialist is key in aligning logistics strategies with organizational goals, ensuring data-driven decision-making, and optimizing logistics performance.
