The Maintenance Technician I supports the day-to-day maintenance of plant equipment, utilities, and facilities to ensure consistent operational performance. Responsibilities include conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as supporting instrumentation and control devices. The role assists with upkeep of building infrastructure, grounds, and utilities, and participates in monitoring critical systems such as HVAC, boilers, compressors, thermal systems, and cooling towers.

ACCOUNTABILITIES - List the primary job responsibilities and activities in order of importance.
Supervises the inventory and planning function.
Manages the master schedule for production to meet shipping dates.
Analyzes raw material needs, production requirements, plant capacity data and performs required calculations to determine best use of production equipment and manpower. Plans and schedules workflow.
Is the lead contact for the planning team and confers with plant management team to arrange release of equipment and personnel as needed
Confers with supervisors to determine status of production schedule, and make needed adjustments
Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen demands or conditions. And handles the most complex issues in the planning group.
Works with lab and other colleagues to identify opportunities to reduce problem inventory and minimize waste.
Compile, store, and retrieve production data; produce reports for position customers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / EHS RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be mostly office based with occasional plant walks for understanding production process.
Must be able to wear Personal Protective equipment as required by work environment.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS/COMPETENCIES to perform the job duties
Key Education or Certification Required
Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S.) in related discipline preferred.
Required Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience
6+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills and Competencies
Must have some knowledge of plant resources, manufacturing capabilities and production requirements in order to obtain optimum utilization, and safe operation.
Experience with enterprise resource management software (JDE) highly preferred.
In accordance with applicable pay transparency requirements, the expected salary for this position is $70,000 to $80,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
