This position is responsible for providing specialized product and application knowledge to Quaker Houghton customers and supporting commercial team.
Job Accountabilities:
Provide specialized knowledge of the entire steel finishing workflow from casting to metallic coating.
Be an advocate within Quaker Houghton for the customer(s); driving projects, following up on laboratory request, monitoring sales orders, leading customer meetings, etc.
Provide technical support to the sales force, handle technical product application-related problems escalated from the field, and work closely with site managers, account managers, and Key Account management teams.
Recommend and facilitate improvement initiatives and total cost of ownership projects.
Generate reports and audits/surveys of product application and customer process related items as required.
Comply with all Company Policies: to include but not limited to Code of Conduct and expense reporting, etc.
Ownership of individual development plan (IDP) as agreed upon with direct line manager.
Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Metallurgy is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in areas of steel finishing is preferred.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
