As the Site Manager for IKV Tribologie, a Quaker Houghton grease manufacturing site, you will be responsible for overseeing all plant operations and supporting approximately 20 employees based onsite in Saint-Donat-sur-l’Herbasse.

Your mission will be to lead the site with a strong focus on quality, safety, production efficiency, and continuous improvement. You will manage and guide site functions including Production, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance. The role requires a strategic mindset and hands-on leadership to ensure smooth site operations, maintain high quality standards, and deliver performance aligned with EMEA business objectives.

What will you do?

  • Lead and manage all day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
  • Supervise and support approx. 20 employees onsite, including two direct reports: the Production Manager and the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for site-level audits and customer visits.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality action plans and drive resolution of non-conformance issues.
  • Own and manage technical quality documentation and compliance systems.
  • Use SAP/ERP and SQL tools to analyze operational and supply chain data for decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Support and guide the broader team, including coaching on strategic planning and mid-to-long-term production improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with the EMEA Supply Chain and Operations team to align with regional goals and continuous improvement programs.
  • Proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders to maintain transparency and operational excellence.

 

What do we look for?

Hard Skills

  • Proven experience in a site management role within manufacturing, preferably in production-heavy environments.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance systems, audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with any ERP system and basic SQL for data analysis and reporting.
  • Background in both Production and Supply Chain, with stronger emphasis on Production preferred.
  • Competence in managing and maintaining technical documentation and quality systems.

Soft Skills

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to guide long-term operational improvements.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • High emotional intelligence to manage conflict, influence stakeholders, and calm high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in both French and English.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a matrix organization.

 

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing, with demonstrated leadership in both Production and Supply Chain.
  • Solid track record in Quality Management, plant audits, and operational leadership.
